The development will also provide ample parking spaces for both residential and commercial uses, including over 5,000 bicycle parking spaces.
Construction will take place in an east to west pattern, with Phase 2A being completed before Phase 2B.
The buildings in Phase 2 will offer a range of amenities, including fitness centers, meeting rooms, play areas for children, and wellness spas. The rooftops of these buildings will be landscaped with lawn areas, dog runs, and dining facilities. There will also be garden plots for urban agriculture.
This development is part of the larger Sears Metrotown master plan, now known as the Concord Metrotown, which was approved by the council in 2019. The first phase of development included over 1,300 homes.
